As Editor for ABC Magazines from 2007 to 2018, I was the project and stakeholder manager for jmag which then re-branded to triple j magazine. While it was under license to News Custom Publishing (News Corp) I acted on behalf of triple j to manage the partnership and approve all of the content (from an ABC Editorial Policies and triple j branding perspective). In 2013, NCP dissolved so we focussed on digital only but published the commemorative triple j annuals in-house. I was editor and manager of those projects from 2013 to 2016.
I wrote and edited many articles over my years there, some of which you can see here. But one of my proudest copywriting moments is coming up with jmag’s tagline.
Task: develop a tagline that promotes that jmag is triple j’s print edition, using triple j’s youthful and edgy tone of voice. Everyone at triple j and ABC Magazines were invited to participate. My idea ‘triple j between the sheets’ was the inevitable winner.
